Contact supervision

Supporting safe, structured contact for children and families

Contact supervision provides children with the opportunity to spend time with non-residential parents or other significant family members in a safe, supported, and structured environment. Supervision is provided in situations where safety, neutrality, or reduced conflict is required to support the child’s wellbeing.

Our role is to ensure visits remain child-focused, appropriate, and safe, while supporting positive and meaningful family interactions.

How Contact Supervision Works

Supervised contact visits are overseen by qualified professionals who remain present throughout the visit. Supervisors monitor interactions, manage boundaries, and provide a calm, neutral presence to support a safe and respectful environment.

Visits are structured to meet the individual needs of the child and family, with supervision tailored to the circumstances of each arrangement.

Child-focused supervision

All visits are planned and delivered with the child’s safety, wellbeing, and developmental needs as the priority.

Qualified professionals

Contact supervision is delivered by registered and experienced professionals with relevant qualifications.

Trauma-informed practice

Supervision is provided using trauma-informed principles to support children in complex or high-conflict situations.

Flexible arrangements

Contact supervision can be arranged to suit the needs of the child and family, depending on individual circumstances.

Child Safety and Structured Support

The safety and wellbeing of the child remain the primary focus throughout all supervised contact visits. Supervision is delivered with clear boundaries, consistent oversight, and a structured approach to support safe and appropriate interactions.

Our team understands the responsibility involved in supervising contact arrangements and works carefully to ensure visits are delivered in a calm, supportive, and child-focused manner.
