Supporting appropriate referrals for supervised contact services

Aligned Family Contact Service accepts referrals from individuals, families, and professionals seeking supervised contact services. Referrals may be made in a range of circumstances, including family separation, high-conflict situations, or where supervision is required to support a child’s safety and wellbeing whilst spending time with a family member.

Our services are delivered in line with recognised professional standards and are focused on providing safe, structured, and child-centred supervision.

Making a Referral

Referrals can be made directly to Aligned Family Contact Service. A Family Court order is not required to submit a referral or access our services.

We accept referrals from:

  • Parents and carers

  • Legal professionals

  • Government and community agencies

Once a referral is received, we will review the information provided and contact the relevant parties to discuss suitability, availability, and next steps.

Court-Related Referrals and Reporting

Aligned Family Contact Service can support court-ordered supervised contact arrangements. Where required, factual reports based on supervisor observations can be provided upon request.

Where a request is made for a report to be compiled for submission to the Family Court, the visits will be completed by an experienced and qualified supervisor who has direct experience in related fields such as child protection, child development, perpetrator accountability and education.

Upon request reports are completed within 2–3 weeks and are prepared in accordance with professional standards and ethical guidelines.
